About Illinois Mediation Clinic
Bridging Conflict with Clarity, Compassion, and Neutrality
Illinois Mediation Clinic, LLC was founded by attorneys Cari Rincker and Liz Nohren with a shared vision: to make mediation more accessible, neutral, and solution-focused for families, farmers, businesses, and communities across Central and Southern Illinois.

With decades of combined legal experience and deep roots in Illinois, Cari and Liz understand the emotional and financial toll of unresolved conflict. They launched the Clinic to offer a better way forward—one that prioritizes respectful dialogue, lasting outcomes, and practical problem-solving.
Our Vision
We believe in the power of mediation to transform difficult situations into manageable solutions. Our mission is to:

-
Make mediation accessible across rural and underserved areas through virtual and in-person services.
-
Maintain strict neutrality while creating space for each party’s voice to be heard.
-
Deliver effective results that reduce stress, save time, and minimize the need for prolonged litigation.

Whether it’s a complex parenting plan, a family farm dispute, or a commercial disagreement, we offer calm in the chaos and clarity in the conversation.
Our Founders
Cari Rincker and Liz Nohren are respected legal professionals and certified mediators with a passion for resolving disputes constructively. Each brings a unique background to the Clinic. Cari as a nationally recognized family and agriculture law attorney, and Liz as a seasoned litigator with strong ties to Central Illinois courts.

Together, they’ve created a collaborative practice rooted in experience, trust, and shared values.

Professionalism and Ethics
All mediators affiliated with the Clinic are trained and certified professionals, many of whom are court-approved mediators in the 4th, 5th, and 6th Judicial Circuits. We adhere to the highest ethical standards and take pride in being a trusted partner for courts, families, and attorneys.
Looking Ahead
Illinois Mediation Clinic is also exploring future opportunities, including the potential formation of a Collaborative Law Center—a hub for non-adversarial legal solutions where professionals across disciplines work together to support families through transitions.
